Let the Nation Decide

It's time to let quasi-randomness loose again and allow events in New Zealand to dictate a day of groundhopping.  The result and margin of the England-France rugby world cup quarter final will determine the mood of my day in more ways than one.  Here's the deal - these are all the FA Trophy games (with one "catchall" league game) that I could reasonably get to once the match in question ends, taking place at grounds I have not visited.  The distances are from my home postcode to the centre of the home town, as calculated by Google Maps.

If there is a real thrashing by 15 points or more by either side then I will head immediately for a step 2 league game in Harrogate, spending over three hours in the car to arrive just in time to get a programme and a burger, and hoping the two are easily distinguished by taste.  If the margin of victory is 10 points, I will head to Ossett one way or the other.  If the game is tied in the 80th minute and then Johnny Wilkinson hits the deciding drop goal with the last kick of the match for a three-point England win, I will head to Sittingbourne in Kent which will be slightly closer for my smug look in the general direction of France.

#2 son @yappattack, who claims to know about these things, tells me that the bookies are saying that I should plan for a gentle drive into East Anglia and an afternoon in Sudbury.  We'll see.

Small print - in the event of the selected game being called off, postponed, rearranged, rescheduled or anything else in that bit of the thesaurus, the next game HIGHER UP on the page in this table with the same winning side will be selected instead.  The same applies if I discover that my groundhopping eligibility rules would be inadvertently broken, but only I know what they are so no need for you to worry.  I would explain, and you would say, "Ah. OK."  You would probably also say, "Get a life".
